Students from Poland and Bulgaria, united by the Project “Green Europe Depends on Our Eco-Consciousness”, were introduced to the protection of water and environment during the construction of the bridge between Vidin and Calafat.
The teenagers from the school “Stanislav Tazhik” in the town of Tarnowskie Gory and the Foreign Language Medium School “Yurdan Radichkov”, Vidin were impressed by the elaborated design for a permanent ecological monitoring at the construction of the trans-border road and railway bridge, presented to them by Elka Georgieva, Deputy Governor of Vidin District. The company constructor of the bridge between Vidin-Calafat – FCC Construccion takes daily cares for the protection of the air, water, soil, flora and fauna, and etc. The control of the different state institutions is permanent.
This is the second consecutive project which is implemented by both schools. It aims not only at preservation of the purity and balance, both in the river and the coast of the Danube but at issues connected with the energy efficiency, recycling and waste disposal.
